What can I do about mold?

Let’s talk about that four-letter bad word, Mold. When most homeowners hear this word, they cringe. It can mean so many different things. What you have to remember is that mold is everywhere and it has been around for years. You can even find mold in the bible.

There are many different types and colors of mold. One could say it is like Baskin Robbins with over 31 flavors, and colors. When in reality there are over 1,000’s of different types of mold. There are only certain kinds that are harmful to humans. Mold can spread quickly if given the right environment.
Mold requires three things to grow:
• water/moisture
• organic food source (paper, fabric, sheet-rock, etc.)
• proper temperature
